Jeffrey Litwin, M.D., F.A.C.C.
President and CEO

Dr. Litwin is a board-certified cardiologist and internist and has served as ERT’s president and chief executive officer since May 2011. He previously served as executive vice president and chief medical officer. Previously, Dr. Litwin was employed by Executive Health Group, a leading international provider of physical examinations for corporate executives, from May 1993 to July 2000, most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Dr. Litwin also served as a consultant for Schlumberger, Ltd. from March 1996 to July 2000 and for the American and National League of Professional Baseball Clubs from April 1995 to March 1999.

Joel Morganroth, M.D.
Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Joel Morganroth, currently ERT’s Chief Scientific Officer since 2006 has served as the Chairman of ERT’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2011. He previously served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to March 2001 and also has consulted for ERT since 1977. Dr. Morganroth is also a globally recognized cardiologist and clinical researcher and has had more than 10 years’ experience as a medical review officer/expert for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and more than 30 years experience in helping pharmaceutical clients develop successful cardiac safety programs.


Amy Furlong
Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

Ms. Furlong has served as ERT’s executive vice president, cardiac safety operations since December 2005. Earlier, she served as our senior vice president, regulatory compliance since January 2004. From February 2001 to January 2004, Ms. Furlong served as our vice president, regulatory compliance. Ms. Furlong has been employed with ERT for 12 years.


Dr. Robert Kleiman
Chief Medical Officer & Vice President, Global Cardiology

Dr. Kleiman is a board certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who has performed research in both basic cellular electrophysiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr Kleiman completed his training at the University of Pennsylvania, and was a practicing cardiac electrophysiologist for 12 years before joining ERT full time in 2003.  Dr. Kleiman has worked in cardiac safety for 20 years, and is currently ERT’s Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Global Cardiology.  His responsibilities include oversight of ERT’s cardiology services as well as providing expert consultative services to ERT’s clients.


Mike Federico

Vice President, ePRO Solutions

Michael is responsible for managing all aspects of the ePRO Solutions suite at ERT, including product development, operations and sales. The ePRO group has organized ERT’s capabilities into products and services to provide the complete patient experience from recruiting right through to suicidality monitoring. Prior to his current position, Michael was VP for Business Development at ERT. Prior to joining ERT six years ago, Michael spent over 20 years in systems design, evaluation and equipment management in the healthcare field. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.


Robert Brown

Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific & External Affairs

Mr. Brown has been ERT’s senior vice president, Asia-Pacific & External Affairs since January 2012. Prior to this, Mr. Brown served as our senior vice president, strategic marketing, planning & partnerships from September 2006 through December 2011 and our senior vice president, outsourcing partnerships from July 2002 through August 2006. From January 2000 through June 2002, Mr. Brown was our senior vice president, cardiac safety. Mr. Brown has been employed with us for over 29 years.


Dr. John Greist

Distinguished Senior Scientist
Madison Institute of Medicine

Dr. Greist received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his M.D. degree from Indiana University. Following a medical internship at the University of Wisconsin, he completed residency training in internal medicine and was chief resident in 1969-1970. He also completed three years of psychiatric residency at the University of Wisconsin and was a fellow in child psychiatry during his final year of residency. He joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry in 1971, was tenured in 1975, served as Professor of Psychiatry from 1980-1992 and as Director of the Anxiety Disorders Center from 1978-1992. He is board certified in psychiatry and a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

From 1992 through 1998, Dr. Greist was a Distinguished Senior Scientist at the Dean Foundation for Health, Research and Education and in 1998 became a Distinguished Senior Scientist at the Madison Institute of Medicine, Inc. He is also Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. In addition, he is co-founder and co-director of the Lithium, Bipolar and Obsessive Compulsive Information Centers and a CEO of Healthcare Technology Systems, Inc.

His major clinical and research interests are anxiety and mood disorders, suicidality, psychopharmacology, behavior therapy and clinical applications of computing. In addition to more than 300 articles in professional journals and chapters in books, he has coauthored many books.
